Peninsula Pop Warner Annual Coaches Clinic to be Hosted by the San Francisco 49ers

Santa Clara, Calif. – Peninsula Pop Warner today announced that the Peninsula Pop Warner Annual Coaches Clinic powered by USA Football’s Heads Up Football, Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE) and Positive Coach Alliance will be hosted by the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday July 16, 2018. More than 400 Pop Warner football coaches and administrators in the Bay Area will have an opportunity to be trained by Heads Up Football master trainers

The Peninsula Pop Warner Coaches Clinic annually instructs its football staffs about National Pop Warner Rules and Regulations, local rules as well as risk management protocols.

“Peninsula Pop Warner encourages coaches to make thoughtful and informed decisions when developing practice plans and implementing drill and activities,” says Tim Hilton, Acting Commissioner of Peninsula Pop Warner. “With the help of USA Football and the San Francisco 49ers, our 2018 Annual Coaches Clinic will enable our coaches and staff to develop a safer game for Pop Warner kids across our League.

Master trainer from Heads Up Football will instruct Pop Warner head coaches and assistant coaches the USA Football’s roll tackle method, which teaches how to properly coach players on advanced tackling technique, in addition to USA Football’s blocking techniques to improve performance and advance safety. The Pop Warner coaches will also receive expertise and clinical training from Positive Coach Alliance and Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE).

The area we serve is from Salinas/Monterey in the South to Oakland in the East Bay, from Santa Cruz in the west to Southern Marin/San Francisco/Pacifica in the North and the entire Peninsula Bay Area through Hollister on the West.
